Firefighter Jumps Into Water To Save Exhausted Dog

A Florida firefighter is being hailed a hero and winning hearts all over the internet all because of his brave actions to save a life — a dog’s life. We are in love with his video and there’s no wonder it’s going viral!

A dog named Junior is an older dog that wasn’t having the best day in the world. The 12-year-old Shar Pei and Rottweiler mix and wandered from his Miami Beach home; the poor dog got lost and fell into the Biscayne Bay.

A man named Jose Ruiz had been out for a jog that morning when he got a call about his dog, Junior, having escaped from his yard. He ran home and began frantically searching for his dog — completely unaware that his dog had fallen in the bay.

During the frantic search, firefighter Emilio Sanchez had spotted the dog in the open water. It was clear that the dog was struggling to stay afloat. It was without any hesitation that the hero firefighter jumped in the water.

Sanchez swam out to rescue the 50-pound elderly dog with the help of his fellow firefighters. The entire nail biting rescue was filmed through a cell phone camera. That video was about to completely blow up.
