The talented actor, Tom Hardy, is taking part in reading a children’s bedtime story for the BBC network CBeebies. As if that wasn’t adorable enough — he’s dedicating the story to his dog Woody. Sadly, Woody passed away in June of this year.
Hardy, The Revenant actor, took to social media to announce this latest project. Not only was the story going to be dedicated to Woody (full name is Woodstock) but it was also in honor of National Dog Day.
The post reads:
“A brand new CBeebies Bedtime Story read by #TomHardy will air later this month on #NationalDogDay, August 26th, and will be dedicated to the actor’s dog #Woody, who passed away in June. The pup was on set with his owner for the filming of the story – about the friendship between a young boy and his scruffy dog – and the actor sees the broadcast as a fitting tribute to his pet.”
It’s so amazing when celebrities use their fame and influence to do something like this; sharing their love of dogs with the entire world to see.
